CroisiEurope Inaugurates Its Newest Barge, the "Raymonde"

CroisiEurope inaugurated the new "Raymonde" barge on May 22 at the Quai de Grenelle in Paris, France. The Schmitters, CroisiEurope's founding family, were present at the christening,  including Raymonde, the founder's daughter-in-law who was chosen to be godmother of the ship named in her honor.

The Raymonde barge will navigate on the Saint-Martin canal in Paris and the Marne canal from Paris to Châlons-en-Champagne and back, offering stops in Paris, Nogent-sur-Marne, Meaux, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, Chateau-Thierry, Dormans, Epernay and Châlons-en-Champagne.

CroisiEurope's newest barge is a small Freycinet gauge model (131 feet by 19 feet), it holds twelve cabins and can carry twenty-four passengers. The vessel is operated by a six-person team, including the captain, steward, chef, barman, cabin hostess and seaman. Cabins are equipped with heating and cooling units and private bath; there is a living area, bar, restaurant and sun deck with lounge chairs and jacuzzi. Bikes are also available to passengers.

Cruises aboard the Raymonde are all-inclusive, including full room and board in a double-occupancy cabin with drinks during meals and at the bar, except for champagne or specialty wines.
