Cruise Planners Introduces New Alexa AI Program at Convention

At this year’s Cruise Planners convention in Cancun, Mexico, the organization announced a new artificial intelligence program that includes the development of two Alexa Skills compatible with Amazon devices, billed as the first artificial intelligence program for home-based travel agents. One skill is designed for consumers, and another is designed for Cruise Planners travel agents.

This year’s event, based around the theme “CP Ignite,” drew hundreds of Cruise Planners travel agents.

At the event Cruise Planners showcased its newest technology solution, CP Maxx, its next-generation booking and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. CP Maxx, a now faster and more streamlined platform, was introduced with new features and benefits and was designed strategically with feedback directly from internal teams and the Cruise Planners Agent Technology Advisory Board.

CP Maxx will integrate with the new Cruise Planners Alexa Skills designed for both Cruise Planners agents and their clients. Developed in-house by Cruise Planners’ technology team, the Alexa Skills are designed to strengthen the connection between Cruise Planners travel agents and their clients, the organization said.

In a written release, Cruise Planners CEO and Co-Founder Michelle Fee said the new tools would allow agents to spend more time growing their sales.

Luxury, Land and Cruise Sales Up

The themes of luxury and land travel were heavily emphasized during the event as Cruise Planners continues to expand its training and marketing resources in both areas, resulting in record growth in 2017. Looking ahead, 2018 is showing even stronger record sales, Cruise Planners said. Executives from all the major ocean and river cruise brands presented during general session and hosted intimate roundtable discussions throughout the convention.

New Strategic Marketing

Also at this year Cruise Planners introduced the CP Video Network, a new series of customizable video commercials, which can be used to attract consumers through social media, email marketing and their websites.
