Royal Caribbean International has released new details on its third Oasis-class ship, the upcoming Harmony of the Seas. When it debuts in May 2016, the ship will include Splashaway Bay, an interactive aqua park for kids.

Key attractions at Splashaway Bay will be The Ultimate Abyss, a water slide with a 100 foot drop from the Pool and Sports Zone at the aft of the ship down to the Boardwalk neighborhood below, and The Perfect Storm, a trio of slides spiraling above the landscaped Central Park area in the center of the ship: Supercell, Typhoon and Cyclone. Supercell will have a champagne bowl right before the big splash finale.

Harmony of the Seas will be the first in a new generation of Oasis class ships designed to incorporate some of the technological amenities of the line's Quantum class. The ship will sail its inaugural summer season in Europe on seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries calling on Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Provence, France; Florence/Pisa, Rome and Naples, Italy. In November 2016, Harmony will arrive to her homeport of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, offering seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings.

In addition to the seven neighborhood design for which the Oasis class is known, the ship will also incorporate amenities from the recently-launched Quantum class of ships. These include Bionic Bar dancing robot bartenders on the Royal Promenade; Virtual Balconies in many interior staterooms offering sea and port views; the Royal WOWBands with RFID technology to simplify the guest experience; and the high-speed VOOM Internet at sea service.

For dining, guests can enjoy specialty restaurants Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, Sabor Taqueria and Tequila Bar, and Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine

Harmony of the Seas will span 16 guest decks for a capcity of 5,497 guests at double occupancy, with 2,747 staterooms.
