Crystal Cruises has announced its new Mediterranean food excursions program, which will incorporate flavors from over three dozen trips to the region, including Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Malta, Portugal and Greece. Guests on these Mediterranean adventures will enjoy cooking classes, wine tastings and pairings, farmer’s market tours and more for an introduction into the epicurean region.
For wine enthusiasts, Crystal Cruises has set up select wine tasting trips. Guests traveling from Florence, Italy, will get the chance to visit Verrazzano Castle in the Chianti region for a wine-pairing meal. This trip is offered in June, August, October and November. In Valencia, Spain, guests will learn how to craft, bottle and label their own wine in the the Vera de Estenas region. The program will be offered in June and November.
Crystal Cruises is also offering select Mediterranean trips for food-lovers. In Kuºadasi, Turkey, guests will choose fresh ingredients from local marketplaces and learn how to cook Turkish meals. This excursion will be offered on tours departing in September and October. In Dubrovnik, Croatia, guests will wine taste and enjoy Ston oysters during departures in June, September and October. Travelers visiting Santorini, Greece, will also have the chance to cook with the executive chef of Faggera Restaurant in Meglochori.
