Crystal River Cruises to Launch March 2017

crystal river cruisesShortly following the announcement of a major expansion at Crystal Cruises, the line has offered up new details on its planned river cruise line.

The two Crystal river yacht vessels will be launched in Europe in March 2017. Highlights of the 70-suite vessels include:

  • 250 square-foot guest suites with walk-in wardrobes, American king size beds and bathrooms with double vanities
  • Two 500 square-foot Penthouse Suites with added comforts and conveniences
  • Spacious public areas, including Palm Court with dance floor and glass domed roof and a well-appointed fitness center and spa

Itineraries, fares and bookings for Crystal River Cruises will be available beginning December 1, 2015.

Crystal has said that its itineraries will be designed to allow maximum time in port, and will also deviate from traditional river cruise routes in order to avoid congestion.

Crystal will also dedicate a portion of each sailing to daytime travel along picturesque river stretches for scenery watching. This timing also affords guests the opportunity to enjoy the nightlife in select destinations with port overnights, often including experiences at Michelin-starred restaurants.

During days in port, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of Crystal Adventures, as well as the line's newest shore program, called Active Exploration Adventures. Aimed at guests wanting a high-intensity activity, Crystal is offering a complimentary active excursion for guests looking to stay fit on vacation. A luxury yacht tender will also be available for private yachting experiences.
