Cunard Toasts the Royal Family

Cunard Line has joined with Bombay Sapphire gin to introduce a cocktail program to honor the premium gin's 250 years of excellence. Following the April 29 nuptials of the Prince William and Catherine Middleton, five signature cocktails will debut this week onboard Cunard’s fleet of ships: flagship Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, in celebration of both Bombay Sapphire gin’s 250th anniversary and the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, who fittingly graces the iconic Bombay Sapphire blue bottle.

Cunard guests can toast to the beloved monarch’s birthday month of May with The Queen’s Bouquet, an homage to the myrtle customarily used in the royal wedding bouquet since her marriage in 1840. This cocktail is among a few that are exclusive to the ships’ Commodore Clubs, elegant lounges featuring a nod to Cunard’s maritime heritage, with sweeping views over the bow.

Commodore Club guests may also enjoy a Bombay Sapphire version of tea on the high seas with the Sapphire English Tea for pseudo-traditionalists, or The Middleton Fizz for those seeking an unexpected addition to a classically English pastime.

Additional royal-inspired cocktails will be available in the ships’ other bars and lounges

Cunard’s royal cocktail program launches this week and will be available on board all three ships through the end of June.
