Discovery Cruise Line Restructures Rates

Discovery Cruise Line, which operates daily service from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas, is restructuring its rate schedule to include food in all fare categories. "There was overwhelming demand by the public for the return to the inclusion of food in the ticket price," said Hanns Hahn, Discovery's general manager. Under the new structure, effective for cruises departing on and after October 17, the rate for a roundtrip cruise, including three buffet meals, will start at $99 per person. An upgrade to the Grand Bahama Grill level, which includes a champagne breakfast and gourmet dinner, can be made for an additional $29. Discovery departs Fort Lauderdale each day at 7:45 a.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Visit [www.discoverycruiseline.com].
