Disney Adds St. Croix and Tortola to Cruises

Disney Cruise Line will call at St. Croix and Tortola beginning in 2009, as part of new Eastern Caribbean itineraries on Disney Magic. "The timing to announce this is great," said Sharon Siskie, vice president travel agency sales and national accounts for Disney Cruise Line. "It helps agents prepare for wave season. We wanted to provide for more variety and help agents reach new clients."

The islands will be featured on seven-day cruises from Port Canaveral. The itinerary with St. Croix will depart January 3, January 31, February 28, March 28, October 10, November 11 and December 5, while the route including Tortola will sail April 25, May 23, June 20, July 18, August 15 and September 12.

In 2008, Magic will continue summer sailings from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera, which it began last year. Disney Wonder will continue its three- and four-night itineraries to the Bahamas. Disney also announced an enhancement to its pre-/post-cruise packages for 2008: A dining option that provides a sit-down meal, a counter-service meal and one snack per person per day for each night of cruise guests' Walt Disney World stays.
