Starting this summer, guests on Disney Cruise Line will be able to participate in new experiences inspired by the popular animated film "Frozen," including a deck party, a three-song stage show production number, new character meet and greets, storybook adventures ashore and more.
The deck party will take place on select Disney Magic and Disney Wonder sailings to Europe and Alaska. The party will transform the ship into a winter wonderland with icicles adorning the grand staircase. During the day, guests will have the opportunity to meet with characters from the film and take part in the "Anna's Chase for the Chocolate" scavenger hunt, a "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" activity, "The Maypole Swirl and Twirl" dance and a Frozen-themed dining experience with dishes inspired by traditional Nordic fare and the film.
That evening, "Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends" takes place on the deck with a dance set to the movie's ice cutting scene and appearances by the characters from the film. Other activities include reindeer games like "Sven Says" and "Troll Stroll" with Sven, a sing-along to "In Summer" with Olaf and a "Let it Go" sing-along with Elsa.
The evening concludes will more family dancing on the pool deck, followed by special nightclub dance performances and frozen specialty drinks just for adults.
New Production Number and Meet and Greets
Disney Magic will debut the new Disney Cruise Line original production “Disney Dreams … An Enchanted Classic,” in which Anna, Elsa and Olaf teach a young girl the power of her dreams.
Brand-new scenes featuring “Frozen” characters include renditions of three popular songs: “Let it Go,” “For the First Time in Forever” and “In Summer.”
Additionally, guests on Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, Disney Wonder and Disney Magic will have the opportunity to meet and take photographs with their favorite "Frozen" characters.
New Shore Excursions in Norway
Disney Cruise Line guests who travel aboard the Disney Magic to Norway, the land that inspired the film, will have the opportunity to take part in new Port Adventures.
One stop is Ålesund, Norway, created exclusively for Disney Cruise Line, will take guests, along with Anna and Elsa, to a storybook village. Other excursions will highlight the natural wonders, architecture and Scandinavian culture of Norway. Seven and nine-night voyages begin June 6, 2015, sailing through Norwegian fjords and calling on ports including Stavanger, Ålesund, Geiranger, Molde, Olden and Bergen, Norway.
Olaf’s Summertime Freeze on Castaway Cay
Disney's Castaway Cay will enjoy the addition of Olaf’s Summertime Freeze bar, which will serve non-alcoholic specialty frozen drinks in souvenir cups, such as “Olaf’s Flurry Freeze,” “Sven’s Carrot Delight” and “Warm Hugs.” Olaf's Summertime Freeze opens summer 2015 near the Pelican Point tram stop by Castaway Cay Family Beach.
