Expedia CruiseShipCenters Reports Growth

Although the travel industry as a whole experienced challenges throughout the past year, Expedia CruiseShipCenters still managed to report a 5 percent increase in booked passengers over the previous year, says Matthew Eichhorst, president of the company.

“To be able to say our company grew at all during 2009 is an achievement in itself," Eichhorst said. "We’re extremely pleased with our results and all signs point to 2010 being a phenomenal year with our fourth quarter bookings up 32 percent.

Caribbean and Alaska cruises were the usual favorites among Expedia CruiseShipCenters customers, but Europe bookings for the fourth quarter of 2009 were particularly exceptional showing a 77 percent increase over the year prior.

In 2009, 950 new agents chose Expedia CruiseShipCenters as their host agency in 2009,  26 percent increase in the sales force.

Expedia CruiseShipCenters is urging agents to attend one of its weekly webinars to find out how its industry-leading technology, award-winning marketing and ongoing support can help agents.
