The cruise ship came unusually close to a series of homes on the water near Port Everglades March 3. According to a statement from the cruise line, the ship remained in its assign channel at all times under the guidance of local port pilots.
“The ship operated safely and did not put guests or crew at risk, and multiple monitors confirm the ship never touched bottom,” Celebrity Cruises said in a statement provided to Travel Agent. “The U.S. Coast Guard reviewed the ship’s activity and data and determined no further action was needed.”
