Norwegian Cruise Line has become the latest cruise line to modify its schedule in response to Hurricane Joaquin, which is projected to pass near the Bahamas this week.

Due to the storm's projected track, Norwegian has announced that Norwegian Getaway will not call in Nassau, Bahamas this week. Instead, the ship will remain at sea on Friday and return to Miami as scheduled on Saturday morning.

The announcement follows Carnival Cruise Line's move to revise the itineraries for the September 27 sailing of Carnival Pride from Baltimore and the September 26 sailing of Carnival Valor from Port Canaveral. A side-by-side comparison of the revised schedules is available here

Stay tuned to for additional updates as they develop.
