Hurtigruten Offers Hall of the Mountain King Theme Cruise

Hurtigruten is offering a “Hall of the Mountain King” theme cruise this fall, consisting of two separate departures that visit recitals featuring soloist  Rune Alver and lectures by Eilif Lotveit.

Two departures are available: a seven-day northbound voyage on October 9, and a six-day southbound voyage on October 15. The cruise travels between Bergen and Kirkenes, above the Arctic Circle. Several optional excursions are available, including a visit to composer Edvard Grieg’s former home.

The cruises are available from $1,550 to $3,592 per person, based on double occupancy, for the northbound itinerary, and from $1,218 to $2,822 for the southbound. Members of the 1893 Ambassador Program, a loyalty club for those who have cruised with Hurtigruten in the past three years, receive an additional 10 percent off the voyage and a range of complimentary benefits.
