Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic Offers Seven Arctic Itineraries

For its 2015 season, Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic will be offering seven Arctic itineraries, including the new “Exploring Greenland, Baffin, and Ellesmere Islands” and “Exploring Greenland and the Canadian High Arctic” voyages aboard the 148-guest National Geographic Explorer

Trips will be held from the end May through the first week of September, and will visit such destinations as Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and Canada. Details regarding the new 2015 itineraries are as follows:

Epic 80ºN: Exploring Greenland, Baffin & Ellesmere Islands

  • Departs August 17 for 23 days
  • Rates begin at $23,990 per person based on double occupancy
  • Explore familiar and new parts of Baffin Island and Lancaster Sound, then make its way up the coast of Ellesmere
  • Opportunities to Zodiac cruise, kayak, and hike the tundra
  • Encounter Inuit communities, discover the history of the ancient Thule and Dorset at remote archaeological sites, observe polar bears and walruses, and navigate the big ice at Philpots Island

Exploring Greenland and the Canadian High Arctic

  • Departs July 28 and August 7, 2015 for 13 days
  • Rates begin at $12,990
  • Explore the far northern reaches of the Arctic and observe its scenery and wildlife
  • Discover Greenland and the Northwest Passage, navigate the eastern entrance of Canada’s Greenland ice cap, spend a week in the Canadian High Arctic observing polar bears and other native fauna, and visit an historic Inuit fishing village and former whaling port
