Two ships in this lineup are part of a $16 million refresh initiative, Celebrity Infinity in Alaska and Celebrity Summit in Bermuda and Canada/New England. More destinations will be unveiled this month.
Captain’s Club members have early priority access to the cruises before the 2017-2018 sailings open to the general public on Friday, December 4.
Additionally, beginning in 2016 Celebrity will introduce new destination-focused experiences, including chef-led shore excursions named “Chef’s Market Discoveries,” regional experts and local entertainment.
Celebrity will position three ships in Alaska in 2017 and 2018: Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Infinity, the last of which just underwent an $8 million update that refreshed its interiors and added Celebrity's newest venue, the Rooftop Terrace.
Celebrity will also offer two new Alaska cruisetours, the 10-night, culinary-focused “Authentic Tastes of Alaska,” and the 12-night “Great National Parks Expedition,” which explores Denali National Park and Kenai Fjords National Park.
Guests can also enjoy shore excursions including a trip to an organic farm, an exploration of the history of Skagway, a tour through a local brewery and a cooking school, and participation in a crabbing and seafood feast. Additionally, Celebrity's "Resident Naturalists" will offer onboard insights.
Celebrity Summit, fresh of an $8 million renovation project similar to Celebrity Infinity, will sail to Bermuda for 2017 and 2018. In addition to the Rooftop Terrace, Celebrity Summit will also get upgrades to its Suite Class amenities and experiences and one of Celebrity's signature venues, The Tuscan Grille.
This season the ship will offer educational programs designed by Celebrity’s “Regional Destination Expert,” marine scientist and author Dr. Ellen Prager. Additionally, Celebrity will offer its first nine-night cruise that visits New England and Bermuda, as well as a "Signature Event Sailing" to witness a sailing race.
The seven-night Bermuda cruises offer three days and two nights in the destination.
Canada and New England Cruises
In addition to the line's new nine-night New England and Bermuda cruise, guests can also enjoy a new Signature Event Sailing, which welcomes guests to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday overnight in Halifax and the USA’s Independence Day when overnighting in Boston, Massachusetts.
Celebrity Summit will sail 14-night cruises to Canada and New England, which can include visits to Bar Harbor, Maine; Halifax, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; and two nights in Quebec City – the line’s first double overnight in this destination in 10 years.
