Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has announced it has reached an agreement with Fincantieri of Italy to construct a sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, scheduled for delivery in 2020. Seven Seas Explorer is currently under construction and is slated to make its debut in July 2016.

The new Explorer-class vessel will retain many of the features and amenities of Seven Seas Explorer, including a rendition of the Regent Suite, a new class of suite that will debut on Seven Seas Explorer. That 3,875 square foot, two-bedroom suite offers an expansive living space and a beam-to-beam private outdoor balcony. The suite also has an in-suite spa retreat with personal sauna, steam room, relaxation loungers and a spa treatment area where guests will enjoy complimentary, unlimited treatments from Canyon Ranch.

Expanded details for the new ship will be announced at a later date.

When it launches this July, Seven Seas Explorer will also introduce two new gourmet restaurants: Chartreuse, which channels a fine Paris restaurant, and Pacific Rim, which draws on the culinary traditions of Asia. The new restaurants will complement the four other dining venues onboard.

Additionally, Seven Seas Explorer will feature the brand’s first culinary instruction center called the Culinary Arts Kitchen, which will provide guests with personalized instruction at eighteen individual cooking stations.
