New Star Wars Day at Sea on Select Disney Fantasy Sailings

Disney Cruise Line has announced that guests will be able to celebrate the adventures and iconic characters from the Star Wars saga during a new day-long celebration aboard eight select 2016 sailings on the Disney Fantasy: Star Wars Day at Sea.Star Wars Disney
The special celebration will incorporate both heroes and villains of Star Wars aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. Occurring one day during each of eight Disney Fantasy sailings, the event include festivities such as a deck party, meet-and-greets with favorite characters, Star Wars-themed family and youth activities, food and beverage offerings and special merchandise.
“Intergalactic highlights” include:

- Darth Vader, Captain Phasma, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Darth Maul, Stormtroopers and other characters from across the Star Wars galaxy available onboard for meet-and-greets, photos and may be seen patrolling the decks

- Star Wars trivia games

- Costumes and cosplay events and a costume celebration held in the ship’s atrium

In the evening, The Tube nightclub allows adult guests a chance to enjoy Star Wars-themed specialty cocktails, lively cantina music and a super fan trivia challenge.

The day concludes with more music, dancing, games, a display of pyrotechnics, lighting, sound effects and a medley of Star Wars music.

Guests can also watch all seven films in the Star Wars saga, as well as enjoy showings of episodes from the new Disney XD animated series, Star Wars Rebels.

Star Wars Day at Sea will be on Disney Fantasy cruises sailing on January 9 and 23; February 6 and 20; March 5 and 19; April 2 and 16, 2016. Departing from Port Canaveral, the seven-night Western Caribbean itinerary includes Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
