Ovation of the Seas to Begin Sailings From Sydney

Ovation of the SeasRoyal Caribbean International has announced that its newest upcoming Quantum-class ship, the Ovation of the Seas, which will homeport in Sydney for the winter 2016-2017 season.

The cruise ship, which will be joining the Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas in Sydney and Legend of the Seas in Brisbane, is currently under construction in Germany, and, once completed, will be the largest ship to dock in Australia.

Among its onboard amenities, the SmartShip will offer high speed Wi-fi, allowing guests to stay connected throughout their voyage, the first Ripcord by iFLY skydiving experience, the North Star aerial observatory, which offers 360-degree views more than 90 meters above the sea, and the Bionic Bar, where guests can place orders via tablet and watch as two bionic arms create a mixture in tune to the resident DJ without any human assistance.

The multipurpose Two70⁰ space is a lounge with 270-degree ocean views by day, and an immersive, multimedia entertainment spectacular at night, where technology fuses with entertainment via robotic video-screens, dramatic digital projection and high-flying aerialists and performers. In addition, the SeaPlex will be the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea, offering bumper cars, a basketball court, roller skating and a circus school.

Various dining options will also be offered, including destinations that have been created in partnership with world-renowned chefs like Jamie’s Italian from Jamie Oliver at sea.
