Platinum Seminars/CLIA Opt for Crown Princess

Platinum Seminars and CLIA announced a special Express CLIA Certification cruise onboard the new Crown Princess, the newest addition to the Princess fleet. The Platinum Seminars Module, approved by the Travel Institute, will be offered onboard the Crown Princess' nine-day roundtrip cruise from New York to the western Caribbean on Aug. 16. Tom Cogan, CLIA's director of training, will teach "Psychology of Selling," "Group Sales Made Easy," and "Creating a Cruise Marketing Plan." Two video courses are planned: "Marketing Your Agency on The Internet" and "Tech Tips: Making Today's Technology Work For You." Agents will be able to earn a total of 65 points toward ACC/MCC and ECC certification, as well as 14 CEUs from the Travel Institute. Agents will be able to attain almost all the credits they need for ACC status in this one sailing. Agents working on their MCC and ECC will benefit, as well. Plans are being made to hold the sessions only on sea days so agents will have a chance to explore ports of call and experience shore excursions. The price is $599 for run of ship, exclusive of $256 in port and government taxes. Ocean-view cabins are also available. An IATA or CLIA card is required to book. Companions are welcome at the same rate. Book at [www.platinumseminars.com].
