Port St. Maarten Adds to Partnership With FCCA

Long-time FCCA Featured Marketing Partner Port St. Maarten has embarked on a new FCCA sponsorship package that aims to continue to drive cruise tourism growth. The new marketing partnership hopes to enable growth by showcase the port and destination through the FCCA's function and its partners and 19 member lines.

As a Featured Marketing Partner since 2008, St. Maarten has experienced a 40 percent increase in FCCA Member Line passengers between 2008 and 2015.

The new President's Package will spotlight Port St. Maarten and the destination throughout all of the FCCA's functions, including: meetings with cruise executives; events such as FCCA's exclusive membership events, Seatrade Cruise Global and the annual FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show; and also in FCCA's e-mail signatures.

FCCA publication Travel & Cruise will also highlight St. Maarten as a tourist destination. The partnership includes a Destination Pavilion at the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show which showcases information to 1,000 interested stakeholders and more than 100 cruise executives, presidents and CEOS. The event takes place in Merida, Mexico, from October 23-27, 2017.

One of the biggest benefits of the President Package is offering access to cruise executives who decide where ships call through meetings with the FCCA Managing Committee, comprised of presidents representing the FCCA's 19 Member Lines.

The FCCA is a not-for-profit trade organization that provides a forum for discussion on tourism development, ports, safety, security and other cruise industry issues and builds relationships with destinations' private and public sectors. The FCCA works with governments, ports, and private sector representatives to enhance destinations, maximize cruise passenger and cruise line spending and add to the number of returning cruise passengers as stay-over guests.
