Princess Cruises is adding seven new private shore excursions for its Alaska itinerary in 2007, looking to give guests more customizable options, said Charlie Bell, president of Princess Tours. The new private excursions—part of Princess' Adventures Ashore program, which offers a total of 171 Alaska tour options in 2007—includes a custom Hummer adventure in Juneau; exploring Ketchikan either by air, land or sea; and the Alaska up-close cruise adventure in Sitka, where passengers will sail on a 30-foot catamaran. Tours can accommodate between four and 10 guests and include a private guide.
