Princess Cruises recently announced that it will be celebrating Shark Week with Discovery Communications by hosting shark-themed onboard activities and events year round.

Inspired by the television phenomenon, guests aboard Shark Week at Sea will be able to enjoy a wide selection of marine activities, premiere TV content, giveaways and more. The cruise line will be offering special Fish Stories about Sharks seminars where guests will participate in a fun quiz-like activity designed around shark facts. Cruises will also feature sneak-peek Shark Week trailers and promotional spots before it airs on Discovery Channel on July 5.

This year, Princess Cruises is offering bonus Shark Week-themed activities for guests on select trips. Alaska-bound travelers departing from San Francisco on the Golden Princess on June 21 and July 1 and from Seattle on the Ruby Princess on June 28 and July 5 will receive exclusive Shark Week promotions. During this time, guests can attend Shark Week premiere parties, snack on shark-themed pastries and treats, laugh at onboard comedians’ shark-themed humor and enjoy elevators’ shark cage décor.
