Princess Invites Cruisers to Share Their Stories on Facebook

Princess Cruises, a cruise company specializing in destinations as diverse as Alaska, Autstralia, and India, has unveiled a new section of its Facebook page: the Princess Stories tab. This space allows passengers to share their cruise stories and to read the stories of others.

“Our fans have told us some fantastic stories over the years, and with this new feature on our Facebook page, we can share stories we love and also give passengers a formal place to recount their best memories from their cruises,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president.

In addition to allowing readers to share, rate and comment on new stories, the page will also feature “Our Favorite Story from the Mailbag,” a place where Princess employees showcase their favorite stories.

The first featured story from the mailbag tells of a Princess employee who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure some delayed passengers made it to the ship on time- by driving them to port herself. Other inaugural stories on the website include a guide dog’s first cruise experience, a first meeting with a future spouses at sea and even a secret wedding.
