Report: Winning Bid for New Cayman Port Contract to be Announced

The Cayman Net News is reporting that, by the end of the day Wednesday, the contractor selected to undertake the redevelopment at the George Town cruise terminal in the Cayman Islands will be made known.

According to the report, Port Authority Chairman Stefan Baraud has confirmed that the announcement will be made simultaneously in Cayman and in St. Lucia at the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) conference. Overall, 13 bids were submitted by interested parties before the late September deadline closed; however, one was later withdrawn, meaning the final number was 12.

When Travel Agent finds out who was awarded the bid, we will let you know.
