Royal Caribbean Discontinues Mailing Most Bag Tags

royal caribbean navigator of the seasIf clients are sailing on Royal Caribbean International, they won't be receiving their luggage tags in the mail prior to a cruise, according to the Royal Caribbean Blog site (www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2012/08/08/royal-caribbean-stops-issuing-luggage-tags)

Effective Aug. 8, the bag tags apparently will show up in Royal Caribbean's electronic document ticket booklet. The client can print them and attach them to their luggage prior to leaving home.

Several other lines, including Carnival Cruise Lines (www.goccl.com), similarly now include bag tags with e-docs.

The blog site says Royal Caribbean is making exceptions for its Crown & Anchor Society Pinnacle members and those sailing in Grand Suites or a higher category suite. Those frequent guests will  still get the bag tags via mail.

Porters at ports will also still issue bag tags should the cliente forget to attach the electronic tags to their bags in advance.,

The blog site says the new policy only applies to Royal Caribbean International, not its sister brands, Celebrity Cruises or Azamara Club Cruises.
