Recently rebranded Scenic has announced the christening of its newest river vessel, the Scenic Jasper.
The ship was christened at a ceremony in Vienna, Austria, on April 21 by the ship's godmother, Australian author Kathy Lette, and Scenic Chairman Glen Moroney and Karen Moroney.
The eleventh Scenic Space-Ship, and the newest to be sailing the waterways of Europe, the 85-cabin Scenic Jasper has a heated vitality pool for guests to enjoy on the panoramic Sun Deck plus the private balcony Royal Panorama Suites and Royal Suite.
Scenic Jasper is the first of two Scenic Space-Ships to be launched this year. Sister ship Scenic Opal will also be joining the fleet in June, bringing the total to 12 - including the boutique small ship, Scenic Tsar, which sails exclusively in Russia. Five more Space-Ships are currently being built for launch in 2016: the Scenic Amber, which will sail the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers; the Scenic Azure, which will launch on Portugal’s Douro River; the Scenic Spirit and Scenic Zen, which will explore the Mekong; and the Scenic Explorer, which will cruise on the Irrawaddy River.
