Scenic Announces Two New Itineraries on Scenic Eclipse

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has announced two new itineraries for the Scenic Eclipse, the cruise line's newest ship. Launching in October 2019, the new itineraries are the 13-day “Taste of Caribbean” and the 11-day “Colombia & Panama” exploration.

Stops on the “Taste of Caribbean” include Long Island, a paradise with cliffs, long white sand beaches and stunning coral reefs; Great Inagua Island, home to 140 species of native and migratory birds including the West Indian Flamingo; Guanaja Island in Honduras, a premier destination for snorkeling; and Half Moon Caye, home to the red-footed booby. The sailing departs from Nassau, Bahamas, on October 8 and disembarks in Miami. Fully-inclusive fares start at $7,995 per person.

Guests depart Miami on October 20 for the “Colombia & Panama” sailing, stopping shortly in Key West before heading to Central America, where travelers can explore Belize City and Roatan Island. Other ports include Costa Rica’s Puerto Limón, where guests visit the Jaguar Rescue Centre and Sloth Sanctuary; the San Blas Islands, home to the remote Kuna people and ideal for snorkeling; and Isla de Providencia, the former base of pirate Henry Morgan. Disembarkation is in Cartagena, Colombia, and fully-inclusive prices start at $8,095.

Scenic Eclipse, launching on August 15 and spending six weeks sailing along the North American east coast, is the line's new Discovery Yacht. The Polar Class 6 ship has 114 all-verandah suites; 10 dining options – from Asian Fusion to French cuisine; a spa with a gym and separate yoga and Pilates studio; two six-guest helicopters and one six-guest submarine capable of depths of nearly 1,000 feet; a 240-seat theater for entertainment and lectures; indoor and outdoor plunge pools; and butler service for all guests. Additional costs to guests include excursion in the helicopters, submarine, scuba diving and spa services (beauty treatments and massages).
