Using any WiFi-enabled laptop or PDA, guests can surf the Internet and check e-mail while in their suites and in public areas. Tim Rand, Silversea's vice president of information technology and chief information officer, stated of the new accessibility, "Today's luxury travelers are often working professionals who travel with laptops and PDAs in tow and they appreciate being able to access the Internet from anywhere on the ship." Each Silversea ship also features Internet centers with state-of-the-art desktop computers and 17-inch flat-screen monitors.
