Silversea Offers China Overland Adventures

Silversea Cruises is offering a collection of China overland adventures in tandem with its 2008 world cruise on Silver Shadow, only months before the Summer Olympic Games kick into gear in Beijing. The programs are available on the 21-day "Ode to a Peaceful Sea" segment departing February 8 from Honolulu to Hong Kong, and "Harmonies of Legend and Legacy," a 14-day voyage from Hong Kong to Singapore departing March 1. Here's what's offered: "Wonders of Beijing and the Great Wall," a four-day, three-night program, which explores many traditional landmarks including the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. Package price is $2,495 per person. There's also "Splendors of Beijing and Shanghai," a comprehensive exploration of the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Temple of Heaven, along with a glimpse of Beijing's Olympics preparation. The five-day program includes lodging with one night at the Portman Ritz-Carlton in Shanghai. Package price is $3,295 per person.
