Silversea Reports Big Sales for Grand Inaugural Voyage

Silversea is reporting brisk sales for its 91-day Grand Inaugural Voyage, which visits more than 45 ports in 20 countries aboard the new Silver Spirit. But there's still room aboard the all-suite, 540-guest ship.

The full 91-day cruise leaves Fort Lauderdale and journeys around South America to Los Angeles and then back east to New York. As of now, 30 percent of the customers booking are sailing for the full 91-day cruise leave, more than 30 are booked for longer, and a lucky couple booked 154 days straight.

With the the largest suites in Silversea's fleet, Silver Spirit will offer six gourmet restaurants and an 8,300-square-foot indoor/outdoor spa. After its completion at Fincantieris Ancona yard for a December delivery, the ship will take its first Mediterranean holiday cruise before crossing the pond from from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale, where the naming ceremony is scheduled on January 21.

Although all Owner’s and Grand Suites are booked for the entire trip, Silver Suites are still available for the full voyage and in segments ranging from nine to 21 days— some of which have up to a 60 percent discount. Full-voyage pricing starts at $42,108 per person, including all available incentives, amenities and four exclusive on-shore events.
