TRAMS unveiled the TRAMS Live Connect functionality for the TravTech Cruise Booking Engine, CruiseBase II, which was demonstrated by the TravTech team on April 18 at the TRAMS Technology and Marketing University in Las Vegas. CruiseBase II is the next generation of TravTech's leading online reservation system, optimized for booking cruises. Travel agents can use it to search, select and book a cruise with any major cruise line. CruiseBase II is integrated with TRAMS' ClientBase Plus, which means TRAMS customers can pass client data from their ClientBase Plus system directly to CruiseBase. Using the Live Connect and ResCard features, ClientBase Plus passes client information to the CruiseBase reservation session and imports the reservation details back into a ResCard for invoicing, printing itineraries and managing other administrative tasks. Agencies can install the Consumer Booking Engine application on their own web site, allowing their web visitors to search for cruises and book them online, automated, and without any agent assistance. CBE is designed to display the agency's own logo and telephone number so that it appears to be fully integrated with the agency's web site.
