Travel Leaders Group has announced the details for its 2016 Distinctive Voyages program, which is a collection of over 200 sailings throughout the world that include exclusive, complimentary amenities.
Clients who select a Distinctive Voyages cruise will have the opportunity to enjoy extras such as a private cocktail reception and an exclusive shore event to connect more closely with the local culture. Many sailings will also feature the services of a Distinctive Voyages Host. All of these amenities are available at no additional cost when booked through a Travel Leaders Group agency.
In 2016, the participating cruise lines in Travel Leaders Group’s Distinctive Voyages include: Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn and Silversea Cruises.

A Taste of True Italy – Guests will board a luxury coach that will transport them through Sorrento and on to Pompeii for a private, guided walking tour. The excursion continues with an introduction into the culinary heritage of the Sorrentine Coast, including a visit to a family owned farm where a light lunch will allow guests to sample “farm to table” specialties, drink local wine, and enjoy the famous Limoncello liqueur. Mallorca Past and Present: Palma Sights and Els Calderers Manor House – Guests will travel along the seafront to Palma’s Old Quarter. From there, clients will enjoy a visit to a typical Mallorcan rural villa and farm where they’ll tour the estate, learn how to prepare a “Pa amb Oli” and enjoy it along with a glass of local wine. The Silver Ring of Fire – This shore event features Iceland’s volcanoes, hot springs, and mountains. A luxury coach will take guests from Reykjavik to Mount Hengill, an active volcano and the start of the geothermal water pipeline that supplies the city. From here, clients will admire the view over Lake Þingvallavatn and then travel to Hveragerði, a town known for its horticulture and greenhouses heated by volcanic hot springs. A private guided walking tour of the town highlights hot springs and fumaroles. The final stop is at the Hellisheiðarvirkjun Geothermal Power Plant, where guests will learn about the technology used to harness geothermal energy. Exclusive Flamenco Experience – In Malaga, Spain, guests will be able to take in the cathedral, Alcazaba, Roman Theater, and the house where Pablo Picasso was born, en route to the Flamenco Art Museum. The museum features paintings, dresses, guitars, and other historic artifacts related to the complex cultural dance. After learning about the history of Flamenco, clients will join a private Flamenco session, accompanied by tapas and a glass of Malaga Wine. Skagway to the Summit and Gold Rush Brewery – This Distinctive Voyages shore event will take guests by private, luxury motor coach from Skagway on a historical route to the Gold Rush Cemetery, which includes the graves of famous gold seekers. From there guests are transported up the scenic Klondike Highway to the White Pass Summit and the Tormented Valley of British Columbia, with stops at Pitchfork Falls and the Moore Bridge Turnout. On the journey back, guests will explore the Gold Rush Brewery on an exclusive tour showcasing the production of local micro brews.
