Ultramarine by Quark Expeditions to Sail to Antarctica 2020-2021

Quark Expeditions' new polar expedition ship, Ultramarine, is setting sail in the Antarctic for the 2020-21 season. Here is an overview of what will be offered on the upcoming vessel.

Public Spaces on Ultramarine

Main Restaurant – A space with full access to the 360-degree wraparound deck, a wine-tasting bar, and a variety of seating configurations to accommodate all guests and expedition staff.

Panorama Lounge and Bar – A gathering spot featuring panoramic views and an outdoor, forward-facing Observation Deck.

Lecture Theater – A space where passengers can hear presentations, featuring a high-resolution LED screen, real-time translations, and live broadcasting.

Wellness Center – A space featuring three distinct areas: a spa with a wide range of treatments, a sauna featuring top-to-bottom windows, and a fitness room with separate yoga space.

Polar Boutique – This boutique is stocked with cold-weather expedition gear and a curated selection of polar keepsakes.

Ready Rooms – Situated next to the Zodiac hangar, Ultramarine's two ready rooms include an individual locker for each guest to store and dry personal items and expedition gear between outings.

In addition to the amenities on board, the vessel will offer a portfolio of off-ship adventure options, including activities like flightseeing, heli-hiking and heli-skiing. 102 suites across nine categories, including six solo suites with top-to-bottom windows. Each suite is designed with spa-inspired bathrooms with heated floors throughout and sleep zones.
