In Spring of 2013, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will add the 13-day "Splendors of Italy" itinerary. The voyage sails the Po River and Venice Lagoon for seven days before stopping for a two-night land stay in Florence and three nights in Rome. Uniworld will also offer a cruise-only option for eight days: “Venice and the Po River.”

Guests will have the opportunity to visit Ravenna, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site; and Verona - the home of Romeo and Juliet. Guests will also attend a pasta-making workshop in Bologna. Uniworld will be moving the River Countess to Venice and the Po River in 2013.

For couples wishing to travel to Italy with Uniworld during this inaugural season, they can receive a $1,200 savings by paying in full at the time of booking before June 30, 2012. Uniworld’s new 13-day “Splendors of Italy” includes: seven nights in a river-view stateroom onboard the River Countess; two nights in a deluxe hotel in Florence and three nights in a deluxe hotel in Rome; all meals onboard with complimentary fine wine, beer, and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; fully guided excursions with local experts; and all transfers on arrival and departure days, and throughout the program.
