Vacation.com has announced additional enhancements to its CruisePRO booking system aimed at allowing members to capitalize on Wave Season and increase cruise bookings, the company said in a release.
The changes include a move to make CruisePRO booking confirmations more easily accessible. Each booking confirmation number, along with individual passenger name, is displayed prominently on the booking confirmation page in CruisePRO. For added convenience, the same information is provided in email confirmations to both the booking agent and to the client. These enhancements allow agents to manage their bookings directly from CruisePRO or email.
In addition, member agencies’ CruisePRO administrators can tailor their individual CruisePRO sites to enable or disable cruise lines’ airline content. This creates the opportunity to focus on core cruise sales during Wave Season and, if the agency desires, to follow up with airline ticket sales at a later date. If an agency administrator disables the option within CruisePRO that offers air provided by the cruise line, agents can complete their cruise bookings more quickly.
As part of the recent enhancements, Vacation.com has also incorporated a “handling option” in CruisePRO for cruise line documents to ensure the agent and the cruise line meet the client’s needs during the booking process. Another feature is that document delivery details have been added to the booking review page, booking confirmation page and confirmation emails. As it pertains to booking modifications, agents have the ability to alter the cruise line document delivery method, email, and address information.
Another enhancement specific to Vacation.com’s supplier partners includes a sponsored search for suppliers to highlight sailings at the top of the search results display. This is an opportunity for suppliers to promote particular sailings of their choice.
Due to ongoing training and support, along with additional technology developments, Vacation.com has experienced 100 percent growth in CruisePRO bookings as of January 2015, when compared year-over-year.
“Since launching CruisePRO in the fall of 2012, we have continued to see a tremendous increase in the interest level in the program, as well as in the number of cruise bookings among our members. Vacation.com’s supplier partners are also incredibly intrigued with what we have done, and their support and participation with CruisePRO is outstanding,” said Vacation.com President John Lovell.
