Variety Cruises Explores the Arabian Gulf


Variety Cruises will operate a new eight-day Arabian Gulf itinerary from Dubai to Muscat and vice-versa from November 2009 to mid-April 2010 on its Panorama cruise ship. Ports of call include Dubai; Khasab in the Musandam Peninsula; and Sohar, Nizwa and Muscat in Oman. Each day is filled with a plethora of excursions, including 4-wheel-drive tours. Pricing begins at $1,990 per person. 

In other Variety news, the small-ship line is offering last-minute savings for the April 4 departure on its Egyptian "Red Sea Wonders" cruise, where the second guest in a double cabin is free. The itinerary visits Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor and Hurghada, St. Catherine Monastery, Petra in Jordan. Fares begin at $1,490 per person.
