Christened in March 2012, the new Longships have two Explorer Suites, the largest river cruise suites in Europe, Viking reports. The 445 square foot Explorer Suites have a separate living room, bedroom and private wraparound veranda with 270 degree views.

In addition to the Explorer Suites, seven two-room Veranda Suites have a full-size veranda in the living room and a French balcony in the bedroom. The ships also have thirty-nine Veranda Staterooms with full-size verandas and twenty-two French Balcony Staterooms.

The Aquavit Terrace is an indoor / outdoor space with retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors that allow guests to dine al fresco in all weathers.

In-cabin amenities include heated bathroom floors and mirrors, Sony HD TVs and premium bath products. The ship also has solar panels, an onboard organic herb garden and energy-efficient hybrid engines to improve sustainability.
