Voyages Of Discovery Announces Fuel Surcharge

Voyages of Discovery, a small-ship expedition line, has joined the major cruise industry players by implementing a fuel surcharge. The company will charge passengers $10 per cruise night on all bookings on the mv Discovery (the line's only ship, though it does charter another eight-deck ship) with embarkation dates from February 1 to April 26. The surcharge is less than half of the increased costs, Voyages of Discovery said. No decision has yet been made on summer 2008 itineraries, the line added. (DE)
