CruiseOne and Cruise Inc. announced during their joint national conference several joint ventures last week, beginning with the launch of their select-air booking website scheduled to go live in 2012. Additionally, the two corporations are launching the 'My Cruise Control' platform, an updated version of the two group's previous booking engine. The new engine offers more personalized services, alongside enhanced quoting, booking and marketing options.

CruiseOne is also welcoming three new members to its field marketing team: manager of field marketing and agent engagement Kimberly Faiello, field sales manager Karen Hermann and field marketing specialist Susan Hall. Lastly, the group announced several cruise deals that will be made available by the group through November.

On Nov. 13, 2011, the Carnival Magic will be pulling in to Galveston, Texas. To welcome the ship to its home port, Grammy-Award winning rock band Maroon-5 will be performing a free concert. The following day, on Nov. 14, the ship will resume its Caribbean cruise program, which features two different itineraries sailing out of Galveston.

Travel Agent was also able to tour the Seaborn Sojourn on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Sojourn is sister ship to the Seabourn Quest and Odyssey, and holds 225 suites, four dining venues and six lounges and bars. The Sojourn had stopped in New York City, and is currently traveling from Canada to South America.
