Windstar Cruises has implemented a bike program for its fleet of three yachts, offering guests the opportunity to explore many destinations by bike.

Windstar’s new bike program features 7000-series, aluminum frame Dragon Marine Folding Bikes. Wind Surf is equipped with eight bikes and Wind Spirit and Wind Star each have four.

Guests have the choice of a half day (four hours) or full day (eight hours) rental. Rates are $39 for a half-day rental, or $59 for a full-day rental. Bike helmets, locks and chains are provided.

The bikes are available for rental in most ports and guests can reserve bikes through Windstar’s Destination Manager aboard each yacht.

Windstar recently released its 2012 Collection of Luxury Sailings. Guests who book by June 30, 2011, will receive a $200 shipboard credit per cabin. Those who book their sailing 180 days or more receive an added 15 percent discount.
