John Delaney, previously from Seabourn, has been named the president of Windstar Cruises. He will begin his duties on July 19.

Delaney, a cruise veteran, was formally the SVP of global marketing and sales for Seabourn Cruise Line. He was with Seabourn since 2011.

Cruise vacationers and our guests have every reason to expect a new era of exciting, wonderful and memorable vacation experiences on our yachts and in the ports Windstar visits,” said Andrew N. Todd, chief executive officer of Xanterra Parks & Resorts, parent company of Windstar Cruises.
In the past, Delaney also held several positions at Holland America, including the vice president of revenue marketing. Delaney also has resort experience; he spent six years at The Walt Disney Company, beginning as a financial analyst in food operations at The Disneyland Resort. There, he worked his way up through several positions including senior business planner for theme park operations revenue.
Delaney has a BS in business administration and accounting from California State University and resides in Seattle.
