Windstar Releases 64 Shore Excursions on 2011 Italy Voyages

Positano, Italy - AnnwvynWindstar Cruises, which has a three-ship luxury yacht fleet that calls on harbors and coves worldwide, has launched 64 shore excursions on seven-day sailings journeying between and Venice and Rome; Rome and Rome; and Nice and Rome. Created to tour the country carefully, the excursions include land and sea activities, cultural and historical trips, food and wine tours and walking itineraries.

Traveling from May through October of this year, cruise fares start from $2,299 per person, double occupancy. We like the line's excursion to the Blue Grotto in Capri. Aboard a small rowboat, the excursion will take you into the grotto, a sea cave, renowned for its brilling blue light produced by sunlight reflecting through the water.

Also high on our list is the excursion, Boat Tour to Positano, as part of the Sorrento, Italy, itinerary, on board a private motorboat along the quiet village of Positano, as well as the excursion, Venice Essential Sights in Venice, visiting St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Cathedral and The Doge's Palace, alongside the Golden Staircase, St. Mark's Basin and the Bridge of Sighs.
