Yachts of Seabourn Launches Third Luxury Yacht

Portofino, ItalyYachts of Seabourn's third luxury yacht, Seabourn Quest, is underway to sail on two pre-inaugural voyages in 2011, prior to its official debut, June 20, 2011. Following the delivery of the vessel, cruisers will have the chance to set sail on its two pre-inaugural voyages from $1,299 on a three-day roundtrip cruise from Monte Carlo and from $3,499 from Monte Carlo to Barcelona on an eight-day cruise. Both trips can be combined for an 11-day voyage from $4,549 per person.

The three-day pre-inaugural cruise will set sail June 9-12, calling at Livorno, Italy, the port for Florence, Pisa, Lucca and other Tuscan highlights, as well as Bonifacio on the French island of Corsica.  On the eight-day cruise, passengers will set out June 12-20 for Portofino, Italy; Cannes, Ile de Porquerolles and Port-Vendres, France; and Valencia, Spain.

A gala naming cermony featuring fireworks over Barcelona will announce Seabourn Quest's debut, on its 14-day Maiden Voyage to Athens. Maiden Voyage guests are invited to participate in the ceremony, and their names will be engraved on the commemorative onboard Maiden Voyage plaque. At the ceremony, they will get a chance to meet Seabourn’s President and CEO Pamela C. Conover, who will be onboard and who will join guests in the gala's events and activities throughout the cruise.

Seabourn Quest will be the line's third vessel to sport the design that debuted on Seabourn Odyssey in June 2009. Its launch marks a 216 percent capacity increase for the line in a three-year period. Its maiden season will include seven-day Eastern Mediterranean cruises, operating alternately between Athens and Istanbul, and Venice and Athens, as well as a seven-day Black Sea voyage. On January 5, 2010, Seabourn Quest will embark on a 109-day World Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Venice, traveling east through South America, South Africa, the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
