300 Travel Agents Attend Israel Travel Seminars

The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) held two travel seminars this month which were attended by more than 300 travel agents in White Plains and Melville, New York, IMOT reports.

During the seminars, IMOT distributed various brochures and travel maps highlighting leisure and faith tourism to Israel. The seminars featured a trade show for travel agents, offering the opportunity to meet with leading Israel travel companies.

The events also included a presentation highlighting recent archeological discoveries and attractions in Israel by Shahar Shilo, marketing director, City of David Archeological Park in Jerusalem.

"We are exciting by the positive responses garnered from recent IMOT-sponsored travel seminars," said Haim Gutin, Israel commissioner for tourism, North and South America, "which will help increase travel agents' awareness about various sectors of tourism to Israel."
