A Look Inside The Delano Las Vegas

Delano View

The Delano Las Vegas recently opened on the Las Vegas Strip, and Travel Agent checked out the new property.

The Delano name orginally gained fame when it opened in 1992 in South Beach, bringing excitment to Miami. Now, as part of Mandalay Bay, with Matthew Chilton as the general manager, the Delano guests have access to the Bay’s popular attractions like multiple pools and celebrity restaurants. However, it also manages to surround guests with a more relaxing and intimate atmosphere than the rest of the busy hotel and casino. Delano cupcake

The Restaurants and Lounges

The Delano has several of its own eateries, including Della’s Kitchen, which serves breakfast and lunch. The dishes are classic with a twist, like macaroni and cheese with Guyère. Occasionally, the chef will even serve a surprise dish alongside the heirloom tomato Mary.

Guests can also enjoy small plates, custom cocktails or beer at the Franklin bar in the lobby. Franklin provides plenty of bar seating, as well as lounge seating in front of the fireplace. There is also a more private seating area surrounded by large drapes, adding a touch of romance. Much of the Delano is filled with earthy tones and low lighting, mimicking the desert landscape that surrounds Las Vegas.

The Bathhouse

The second floor of the Delano is dedicated to the Bathhouse Spa. This spa provides revitalizing treatments for visitors who want to detox from the traditional Las Vegas scene. Many of the massages and body treatments use the surrounding desert as inspiration, like the hot stone massage with desert sage and lemon blossom oil. The milk and honey body treatment uses honey from the Mohave Desert region to sooth skin. Guests will also have access to a sauna and various plunge pools.Delano Suite

Accommodations

The Delano features an all-suite accommodation style, and it also has pet friendly options for guests that can’t leave their four-legged friends at home. Specific suites offer different views of the strip. The Panoramic suite lives up to its name with full-length windows that give an overwhelming view of the metropolitan area. The Penthouse Superior suite is for the guests that want the opulent Vegas experience. The 1,642-square-foot suite has the space to be the jumping off point for any Sin City style celebration.
