Abercrombie & Kent has added a fourth departure to their 2012-2013 Antarctic season in response to the increasing interest for travel to Antarctica. Abercrombie & Kent has provided travel services to Antarctica for the past 20 years and has set the standard with the only all-balcony expedition ship in the region, the MV ‘Le Boreal’. The MV ‘Boreal’ is advanced in regards to its safety measures, with a GMDSS emergency communication system and a satellite weather system that receives real-time images of weather and ice conditions. It is also environmentally friendly with an up-to-date waste water system, recycling facilities and fuel-efficient engines.
