Acapulco Hosts Mexican Tennis Open

acapulcoAcapulco is playing host to the 21st Annual Mexican Tennis Open from February 24 to March 1. The recently announced line-up includes tennis celebrities Andy Murray, David Ferrer and John Isner, among others.

This year's event will feature hard courts for the first time at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess hotel in the destinations renowned Diamante Zone, and will be part of the renowned ATP "Hot Tour" which includes stops in Acapulco, Indian Wells and Miami. The 2014 Mexican Tennis Open will also feature the latest in hawk-eye technology, a complex computer system used to visually track the ball's trajectory and as a technological means of adjudication.

The destination recently hosted the Mexican Gymnastics Open in November, which featured international athletes from Russia, China, Japan, USA, Brazil, Spain, among many others. Gymnastics legend Nadia Comaneci and other Olympic champions attended this year's event.
