Air France has announced it will lend its expertise to help restore air travel in Libya by aiding Afriqyiah Airways and Libyan Airlines in repairing aircraft that were damaged during the recent fighting.
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, supported by Air France Consulting, has signed two maintenance agreements with Afriqyiah Airways and Libyan Airlines. The agreement with Afriqiyiah has been reactivated after being first signed in 2008 and then put on hold recently due to the unrest. The agreement with Libyan Airlines will extend for five years.
