Alaska Airlines Launches Oregon-Honolulu Flights

Alaska Airlines launched daily service between Portland, Oregon, and Honolulu yesterday. The airline already flies between Portland and Kahului, Maui, and will begin service between Portland and Kona, on the Big Island, on November 12.

Flights depart Portland at 7:25 a.m and arrive in Honolulu at 10:25 a.m. Returning flights depart Honolulu at 11:25 a.m. and return at 8:10 p.m. Times are based on local time zones.

Alaska Airlines is offering introductory $169 one-way fares between Portland and Honolulu, and $179 one-way fares between Portland and Kona for tickets purchased by September 27. Sale fares are available for travel between Portland and Honolulu through February 16, 2011, and between Portland and Kona from November 12 to February 16, 2011.
