Globus Offers Iditarod Tour
The annual Iditarod dog-sled race has been packaged by Globus as an eight-day tour, February 24-March 3 or February 25-March 4. Land prices are $2,159 and $2,079, respectively. Clients will meet four-time Iditarod Champion Martin Buser at his kennels, visit the Iditarod HQ and attend a Musher’s Banquet. Participating hotels are the Hilton Anchorage and Hotel Alyeska.
Alyeska Resort Ski Season Opens November 21
The ski season at Alyeska Resort gets under way on November 21 and runs through April 28, 2013. The resort has a brochure detailing its Season Passes, Powder Passes and lift ticket rates. It also provides information on special offers, such as family and “Buddy” discounts.

Tsaina Lodge Near Valdez Reopens
The newly revamped and upgraded Tsaina Lodge, just outside of Valdez, has reopened. The lodge offers 24 rooms, a fine-dining restaurant serving local cuisine and is home to Valdez Heli-Ski Guides service.
